Looking for some IEM's. It'd be nice if they were round the £30 mark (although, I'd be open to spend a little more - if its worth it). Looking at IEM's mainly because of their noise cancelling abilities. Music source will be a Google Nexus 4 (if it makes much of a difference). I'm having a hard time choosing as there is so much choice at this price point.

At the moment Iv'e been looking at;

Soundmagic PL11's, PL21's and the ES18's (and other Soundmagic kit in the £20-35 margin).

They will be used to listen to a variety of music, mostly made up of Rock/Metal and Electronic/Drum and Bass. (blink-182, Parkway Drive, Foo Fighters, ect).

Thanks Guys.

Lots of praise for the Soundmagic IEM's. If you could stretch to £30 the SoundMagic E10's would be my recommendation.

They are almost as good as my Shure SE 535's.

I have not tried the PL21's but the E10's can be picked up for around £27-£29, well worth the price, exceeds expectations for such a low price. They have been awarded best in-ears up to £40, by whathifi for three years running.

They also have an E10M with a mic and remote for Apple devices but at £45 its on the pricey side.

Worth noting that the 3.5 plug with the extra signal ring on headphones with microphones can also cause issues with certain devices. Best avoided unless a pure companion to your phone.

E10 can be had for £20 if you buy from mp4nation directly, just have to wait a month for delivery shame they don't have the 2day free fedex option :p

Currently I have the Brainwavz R1 which are also amazing, they have a dual driver so the bass is outstanding

As with all popular items there are allot of fakes around, so edge on cautious side if the price seems to good to be true. I think even the jungle had an issue with a recent batch.

I'm sure the retailer at £20 is fine though.

mp4nation are the same retailer as on amazon :) Only difference is price and shipping time due to where they despatch from

If they are anything like the Shure 535 at £30 then they are a real bargain

Right, the E10's came in today and I'm impressed! The sound is clear and precise and the bass is controlled and punchy (miles better than the sloppy and loose bass of the CX270's I was using before). The detail in the high end is very impressive, I can pick out hits of the symbals and hear the plucks on the guitar strings.

Only a couple of issues, the main body of the earphones is quite bulky (and made of metal) so they do tend to get a bit irritating on the inside of my ear. The rubber tips are also a chore to change, but its well worth it when you find the right one.
