Spec me some memory Please...

Time to upgrade my memory,

I’m running a Asus P6X58D-E motherboard, I7 950 cpu

A mate told me to stay away from the Corsair XMS3 with this type of board, is this correct?

I don’t want to spend more than a £100 pounds around the £70/80 mark.

I have 6gig ram now, not sure on the other questions, its not gaming ram at all.

I want the same, just 6 gig, yes faster, better, i have a good rig, but think it will run better with better ram.

I think if you're upgrading memory to improve system speed, you're likely to be very disappointed...

There are much better value for money options to pep up a system. I would suggest posting a full set of specs, what it is that you want to improve performance in, and a budget - then people here choose your optimal upgrade
