Now then.

I'm currently running with my OS and a couple of games installed on a Samsung 120GB SSD and the rest of my crap on an old WD 1TB drive.

With the influx of cheap games/sales (god damn you Gabe) my HDD is starting to get full and I'm not too sure what I'm best doing. If were to buy a new HDD and scrap the old one is a big job to install it or is it a re-format job? Pretty sure there will be some driver or something important installed on my HDD.

Or would it be worth just cleaning up the HDD and adding in say a 250GB SSD into the equation?

Either way, I need some suggestions on what I should spend my Christmas cash on, probably set a budget of £150 but I can add a few quid to that if need be!

Thanks in advance!

is it the SSD that is running out of space or the HDD? if its both you can replace both drives.

SSD for OS

and if the HDD is getting full you can get this

SSd gives you plenty of space for the OS and Apps and then you have the HDD for steam games and anything else you want to use\install

Sorry, its just the HDD thats getting full, it's a good 5 or 6 year old though so was thinking of getting something a bit nippier, how difficult is it transferring all the stuff over? Like I said, I'm pretty sure all the drivers and that are on my SSD but sod's law I'll install a HDD and loose some vital stuff and bugger my pc up >.<

Cheers!
:)

best thing to try is turn off the PC and disconnect the HDD turn the PC on and see if it boots etc.

if its just basic stuff like a steam library you can just copy and paste it over and tell steam to look in the new location. if you have installed software then it might be a idea to clone the HDD and then restore back to the new HDD and then just make sure when the one ones disconnected you change the drive letter to match your previous one.

as its just the HDD your replacing you can try this as a option instead
