Spec me some Point and Click games!

Well not me, but my girlfriend. Shes quite into those point and click games that show a screen at a time and you have to find/combine objects to solve puzzles and advance etc find more items and back track to other areas etc

There must be a name for this type if game, shes not after one like monkey island where you control a character really, but any reccomendations would be great, especially if theres a demo available

She likes the puzzle aspect rather than a story focus like the walking dead etc

Any help would be great, i think the sims is waring thin and she fancys something new to play! :)
 
Yesterday.
I was watching a let's play of it and it seemed quite good. Bit more like Monkey Island though.
 
i think your after hidden puzzle games.
maybe look at : Safecracker: The Ultimate Puzzle Adventure
i think its a bit hard to not have the story elements, thats sort of part of the puzzle bit, gathering the information from story tid-bits

try looking at some of these
starship titanic maybe but i think the story element might get in the way.
Broken sward maybe?

wadjet eye do some interesting point and click games, check them out because i think al ot of them are being sold cheap on gog.com

This is a thread about point and click games, and Monkey Island is a point and click game. Surely a man beholden to the retro covenants appreciates the finery of such semantics? :)
 
What she wants is first person point and click games. Google Shannara or Death Gate and you'll see the type she wants :)

Because back in the early days I used to just quote news articles from other sites on mine and then post my site here, so basically using my site as just an between to the next source. Someone else could post my site, but I couldn't, it was seen as advertising. However nowadays I write my own articles, developers talk to us and sometimes we get first hand news. The only reason it was originally stopped was because of a certain breed of people reporting it again and again.

Can't turn back time
