right guys, Ive got my MOT coming up and though my tyres arn't yet bald they will be soon enough, but this is besides the point I want two new front tyres that will be roughly £120 per corner I spent £130 on each corner for the last set for some p6000's a few years ago.

Obviously there an old tyre type now and I've read a few people here are not particular a fan of them. so please spec me some new tyres please OcUK

I'll state now I no barely anything about cars so I just want help and suggestions here....

my tyre sizes are

205/50 R16 87V

£30 under the price range I was expecting, excellent deal thank you kind sir !!!

think I'll go for the eagle f1

just reading a few of the reviews on them and mostly complaining about the noise of the tyre any clue to whether there just idiots or is it true ?

No worries, though it's important to note that camskill sell the tyres only and do not provide a fitting service, but you could always order them and find somewhere cheap to fit them. They will be more expensive If you buy with fitting included e.g. http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/ts/search/tyredetails.aspx?code=2055016GY1Z

Probably better off buying them from camskill and getting them fitted yourself.

I don't think the F1 Asymmetrics make an unusually large amount of noise at all and they are great tyres, fantastic grip, especially in the wet when compared to similar tyres.

ah sweet! Ive been reading up on the pro's of nitrogen in tyres for silence etc.... do you know of any place's like bp etc that have the option to fill them up with ?

Nitrogen is a bit of a gimmick, it has smaller molecules so doesn't leak out of the tyre so quickly. Not sure about noise, but then what happens when you top your tyre pressures up at the petrol station? Unless you carry a can of nitrogen you'll be putting air in them. Nitrogen might make a difference in a supercar, but it's not worth it in anything normal really.

Blackcircles is good but if you want the eagle f1 you'll have to use w as your speed rating.

isnt that a higher speed rating ? will it make much of a difference other than cost and being able to be at a higher speed? I think it was £91-97 inc fitting per tyre...

Yep w is a higher speed rating, won't affect anything, it just means the tyre is capable of higher speed. I don't think the f1 comes in a v rating on blackcircles, hence having to get it in w.

Wouldn't nitrogen need to have larger molecules, logically?

You're quite right, I got it backwards.

went with the Kumho ku31 ecsta and road noise compared to the p6000 is phenomenal they seem to handle pretty well too :) not that I can really push them in my car :D
