I'm usually a trance/hard house head, with twitches of drum and bass in between

But after my work Christmas party last night and seeing how mellowed out the head of CCTV was listening to UB40 at 7 i the morning after everyone else had fallen asleep all over the nightclub, i have a different take on music

I sat for till half 8 listening to endless UB40 tracks with this guy and have never been at peace so much, before i woke people up for breakfast at weather spoons :D

So spec me some awesome UB40 tracks please :)

anything from the old stuff really, its all good.
the newer stuff isnt that good really, but there are one or two half decent ones.

go pickup Labour of Love I and II :]

A track that really stood out to me was c'est la vie, though i loved the whole lot

Cheers for the album names :)

Also try "Promises and Lies" and if you just want a collection try "The Very Best of UB40 1980-2000". :)

I love UB40, it's the only music I listen to. I could spec you a playlist with all the songs, but you want a peaceful playlist, so this is what I'd recommend:

Kingston Town (Labour of Love 2)
Can't Help Falling In Love (Promises and Lies)
I'll be there (twentyfourseven)
Oracabessa Moonshine (Guns in the Ghetto) MY FAVORITE SONG!
I Love It When you smile (Guns in the Ghetto)
Bring it on home (Labour of love 4)
I'll be on my way (who you fighting for)
Swing low sweet chariot (Homegrown)
Impossible Love (Labour of love 2)
Holly Holy (Labour of love 3)
I would do for you (UB40)
King (Signing Off)

That is just a taster :)

There are many more, the band has recorded more than 350 songs.
I tried not to include any sad songs, just tranquil relaxing songs :)

If you have Spotify check out my UB40 playlist.

sorry, I would, but I don't have a premium membership, if you ask in GD, somebody should have one.

You have to hear all of the band's songs to appreciate them. It's the best band ever.

They recently did a gig in a pub to raise money for a new roof, otherwise the pub would have closed. You can download the DVD of the gigs. If I can find the links I'll post them.

EDIT: Are you aware the lead singer changed in March 2008?

That'd be grand actually, there quite a few live videos on youtube aswell and they really are so amazing, love the mood it creates in me, perfect to chill out to and think

The new lead singer, Duncan Campbell, is the brother of the former lead singer Ali Campbell.

I went to the gig at the O2 a week ago and it was the best gig I've ever seen.

I'm sorry, I'm so excited, I get excited when introducing UB40 to new people :)
