Spec me some windscreen wipers

Valeo Silencio XTRM flat blades > Aerotwins in my experience, but they are a touch more expensive. Ignore the wear indicators which go yellow in about 3 months in summer!
I have these and they're great, bought from wiperblades.co.uk - agree on the useless wear indicator too.

Manufacturers don't make wiper blades, they just buy them in from bosch and valeo and stick their logo on them to up the price :)

You wouldn't happen to know who makes the Sparco flat wipers would you?. They're cheaper than the Bosch equivalent iirc, so if they're made by Bosch then I'll get them.

The Sparco ones work out at around £20 iirc, if these are just re branded Bosch ones then thats a nice saving. They could just be cheapo ones with a name stuck on though.

I got some cheapo ones from Wilkinsons, were £1.50 each blade i think and have lasted through the winter, only 1 is starting to judder very slightly now.

I think that there is some argument for going this route. At £1.50 a blade you could replace them 8 or 9 times before reaching the £26 for 1 pair of good bosch/valeo blades.

I actually suggested this to one of my neighbours - she was using deicer over the winter and suspected it of eating the rubber on the blades, but at £1.50 a blade that's not really a problem.

Halford do an offer usually all year round on Undiluted Screenwash, Pink, Green, Yellow and Blue IIRC for which seasion you are in, usually on BOGOF or 3 for 2.

I just wait for the el-cheapo wipers to come on offer at Halfords, or sometimes they reduce the Bosch ones to the same price as own brand ones... can afford to change them regularly at that rate. If I buy expensive wipers, the ****** near where I live at the moment will only nick 'em...

i have bosch aero jobbies on mine, woudnt recomend them - won't be buying them again. PIAA for me from now on.

I got some valeo flatblade ones and they were fantastic just dont take the stupid wear sticker off as it is completely inaccurate and just tells you when they have been exposed to the sun not when they are actually starting to wear.

Rubber perishes with exposure to UV, that's kinda the point of the stickers :) albeit I agree they do go yellow long before you'd expect them to need replaced.

I got myself some Champion windscreen wipers, VX something or others. Cost 14.50 with free P&P for the pair, absolute bargain and they come with spoilers on too:

This is the website, just whack in your car model and they bring up the compatible ones, these are for my megane, though on the packaging they are compatible for loads of cars

The good thing with them also is that once they are due to be replaced, a white line appears on them.
