Spec me... something fun :-)

Not for £7k. All that'll get you is a ropey roadster.

How about a stripped-out CLK 55 AMG? :D

Fairy muff - think I'll prefer an S2000 over a Z3M anyway... it's just the engine in the Z3M is rather nice :)

That CLK is very tempting though!

search my nick and s2000 on ocuk motors posts and I've written literally pages on them.

I've not kept up to date with prices, but 7k should certainly get you something reasonable in the form of an S2000. I would try and get a car from s2ki if I was you, more chance it wont have siezed suspension adjustors, 4 mis matched tyres, and be soaked in rust with a torn roof and drivers seat.

Will have a look, cheers :)

I've seen a few decent looking examples in this price range - one of the reasons it's top of my list... the other being the handling :) Thanks for the tip, think I've heard of that dealer.

:D

Slightly OT here but if you do have your scoob written off and decide to buy it back as salvage I'd be interested in buying some parts off you should you decide to break it. The quick steering rack, dccd gearbox and AST coilovers are rather tempting...;)

Nice one! I'll drop you an email in trust when I figure out exactly what's happening :) I'm out of the country all this coming week, so will hopefully be the week after. You'll like the bits too... rack stil tight, shocks rebuilt and the gearbox has had an oil change every 15k :)

SEVEN cars in 12 months?!?!

Jesus Christ -Why???

Stepped up to a much more secure and significantly better paying job & like my toys :)

Sep 2010 - Mazda MX5 MK1 (bit ratty)
Dec 2010 - BMW 325D
Mar 2011 - Jaguar XKR
May 2011 - 220BHP Supercharged MX5
July 2011 - Subaru Impreza STI Type RA V-Ltd
July 2011 - kill the engines of both MX and Scoob, have to buy a shed - Ford Probe
Sep-Oct 2011 - silver van man decides he wants to break my car - so summit newwwww :)

Not bad at all... but I think I'd suffer similar problems to the scoob in a 4wd skyline... if going for a skyline I'd be wanting the RWD GTS (ideally with a heavily modified twin tubby engine though, of course :))

The GTS only come single turbo. Its the GTR RB26DETT thats twin turbo. Plus that R32 GTR has the R34 GTR Engine in it

Yes, sorry - that's what I meant... basically a GTS with a GTR engine.

I need to drive one to know what they're like - still leaning towards S2000 though.

The 350z really is a decent GT car - overlooked by most, the only reason I have noticed them myself is my next door neighbour has just got one.
I believe they will compete with a Porsche Caiman
