How are we meant to know what will improve things without knowing what you've already got or how much you want to spend?

I have onboard sound, and well I will be getting the card second hand so I don't wanna spend more than £35 really.How are we meant to know what will improve things without knowing what you've already got or how much you want to spend?
Asus Xonar DX but it is about £50.
Creative are not very good with Vista and the drivers are terrible AND the support sucks. If you dont want to spend above £35 I would say wait an extra month or two, I hear X-fi 2 is out soon so maybe there will be a cheap entry card for about £35.

Get an xfi xtreme music £25 second hand i think they have sorted many vista issues with the latest drivers now as you probably wont get a xonar for £35 or under.Good thing about it is you could easily sell it again at that price if it doesn't work out so just costing you postage really.
