Spec me Stuff to do in York

We recently did a treasure hunt round the city, which I got from huntfun.co.uk - took a good couple of hours (with kids), a fair bit of walking though. Not strenuous, just a lot of padding about. You could take all day over it, and do lots of stops in coffee shops etc :)

Evil Eye Lounge after she's gone to bed. :)

Evil Eye Lounge is rubbish. Try Koko's, Pivni's, House of Trembling Madness :D

Minister is a must see obviously. Yorkshire Air Museum, Ghost Walks, York Brewery, Viking Centre, Castle Museum (and Clifford's Tower since you're there anyway), hire a little boat up the Ouse for a few hours...

Betty's is overpriced and average, and almost always busy.

Viking Centre
Cliffords Tower
Minster
Either hire a Red Boat and go along the river or get on the big boat and do the same thing.
City Walls
Railway Museum
Shambles
Museum Gardens
Rowntree Park
Merchant Adventurers'
Theatre
If you need to go to Betty's go to 'little' Betty's - I forget what street its on though.
Designer Outlet if you really get bored

As you go through the Rail Station there is a small tourist information office, get in there and grab a visitors guide to York, they're free and cover pretty much all the sights.

Harrogate isn't too far away by train, same for Scarborough

Also I think there is a Farmers Market around that time too, end of month sort of thing - local produce etc.
