Other than that its even shonkier WW2 films from just after the war. Problem with submarine films is there isnt a lot you can do with them they are either:
Shooting other boats.
Sinking.
Not doing a lot else.
So choice is limited.
It's also something more, just about the underwater setting etc. I was fascinated by marine programs when I was younger, I think it's all tied in with the mystique of the sea really.
