In the middle of watching Das Boot at the moment - top film, many many thanks for the advice!

The hunt for red october.
Other than that its even shonkier WW2 films from just after the war. Problem with submarine films is there isnt a lot you can do with them they are either:
Shooting other boats.
Sinking.
Not doing a lot else.
So choice is limited.

It's also something more, just about the underwater setting etc. I was fascinated by marine programs when I was younger, I think it's all tied in with the mystique of the sea really.
