So I've currently got a faulty 55" Sony Bravia KDL-55W905A for £999 back on the 17th may 2014 - but this was a good deal in the sales.

So it's abit more complicated than the special title suggest so if you I've the time please read as it would help me a lot. Much love!...

Long story short the smart features don't work and after a raher long and drawn out complaint with John Lewis they have agreed to effectively give me £700 credit and have suggested I get the following tv:-

Is this even close to comparable?

I appreciate there's the progression of technology since then (e.g 4K/HDR e.t.c) but I'm exactly not happy about the £300 reduction in store credit. Should I push for more... Maybe bump them up to one of the following (note that I can also contribute to the credit to get a pricier tv):

The generally highly regarded ks7000:-

Or a Sony Bravia (maybe I'm just loyal but the Sony smashed the others in store back when I bought it and I'm worried the others might not be as good)

I'll mainly use it for console gaming, streaming services and bluray rays (through the console cos I have no idea if dedicated blu ray players are worth it! #secret second question)

With so many sets to choose from I'm lost. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks if you made it this far down my ramblings!
