Howdy,

Well I'm looking at getting into the world of watersports (ooo err) and thought putting my PC might be a good idea. Now I realised that price is always an issue when first starting out but with my limited knowledge I fell I may be over pricing things/buying things that may not be necessary.

From my internet trawling I've found getting parts from various suppliers to be the cheapest option and all in all I have got the following parts for a total of £450ish. This ticks all the boxes of form and function as I don't want it to be purely functionality, I want it to look the **** too :D. This will be for a gaming rig and is more of a hobby than to really boost performance massively (although I do like overclocking and benchmarking but mainly stick to gaming)

Parts List (I won't include individual prices so as not to go against the OCUK terms and conditions)

1 x EK-Supreme LTX AMD - Nickel CSQ - AMD Waterblock
1 x EK-FC R9-280X Matrix Full Cover Water Block
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-VGA Supreme HF Copper Shim 7970 / 7950 / 280 / 280x
2 x EK Water Blocks EK-PLUG G1/4 Plexi (LED 5mm)
1 x XSPC 7/16 ID, 5/8 OD High Flex 2m (Retail Coil) - CLEAR UV
10 x XSPC Coin Fit V2 - G1/4 to 7/16 ID 5/8 OD Compression Fitting - Black Chrome
1 x XSPC EX360 Crossflow Radiator
1 x XSPC EX240 120mm Radiator - Black
5 x Zalman ZM-F3 120mm - 1800RPM
1 x Phobya LED-Flexlight HighDensity 30cm UV (36x SMD LED´s)
1 x XSPC Acrylic Dual 5.25 Bay Reservoir for Laing D5
1 x XSPC / Laing D5 Vario Motor, with RPM Wire
1 x XSPC Twin Wired Red 5mm LEDs with 4Pin - Black - 30cm
1 x BitFenix Recon Internet-Connected Fan Controller (White)
3 x Mayhems X1 UV Red Premixed Watercooling Fluid 1L
1 x XSPC Dual Bayres/Pump V4 Faceplate Pack (White)

So all this is to fit in my NZXT Phantom 530 with the rads going in the top and the bottom both horizontally and I'll only be setting them up with fans blowing through the radiator into the case. I already have a 200mm red led fan for front intake and a 140mm NZXT fan to be used as outtake at the rear of the case.

Other than that my chip is and FX-8350 currently overclocked to 4.8ghz (so would like to push this up to the fabled 5.0ghz mark!!!!) and my GPU is the HD7970 Matrix Platinum so I am limited on my choice of GPU block.

Let me know your guys' thoughts. Any and all info would be welcome as its all a learning curve for me :)
