spec me up for as less as possible

hi there,

i am after a machine only just for surfing and basic ms office work, i need the following:

case
mobo (to have sata and IDE connectors)
cpu
hsf (if stock thats fine)
gfx card
psu
ram

please spec me up as cheap as possible, keep in mind if i want to upgrade i want to be able to use to the gpu, mobo(if poss), case and psu...

budget = as cheap as possible

please let me know

what would it do to the cost if i added a dual core intel (only) cpu?

Like a i3 530?

You would have to put a H55 motherboard into the spec.

The i3CPU has a integrated graphics chip on the actual CPU.

The i3 530 is £103.
a gigabyte H55 can be had for £68.

Do not invest any money in socket LGA775, its dead as a dodo.

The AMD spec I posted will accept the new six core cpus when released.

Add a future graphics card for gaming(ati 5770 is £125).

Both the intel i3 graphics and the onboard graphics of the ASUS motherboard I specced are both poor at games, ok for what you wanted.
