Want to WC my rig:

i7 930
2x Evga 570 HD 2560MB
12GB DDR3
Asus P6T SE hacked to P6T for SLI
Antec HCG 750 PSU
Nanoxia DS1 case

I am completely air cooled at the moment with 3x 120mm Gentle Typhoons and the fans that came with the case (1x 140mm + 2x 120mm Nanoxia Deep Silence fans)

What should I buy? Don't have any WC bits yet.

Thanks,

G

the choices are as varied as you could possibly want, it really depends on what your aims are - looks, noise, overclocking potential, cost?

do you want your radiators to be inside the case or are you willing to site them externally?

you can get kits that come with most of what you need for a basic loop and then just add an extra radiator, GPU blocks and fittings, or you can spec everything individually to best suit your layout / budget / aesthetics

I would like to keep everything inside the case. I would really like it quiet but be able to overclock a lot.

I don't care what it looks like as much as I don't have a window on my case. (I may get one in future, but they have yet to release them to the public)

For this reason I would prefer a bay mounted reservior I suppose.

With regards to the cost I think under £300 if possible.

I think you might need a bigger case. That DS1 looks a bit too small to contain everything inside the case.

I tried to fit a 240 setup into a Fractal Design R3, and couldn't do so without chopping the case to bits and putting the fans on the outside (even with a slim radiator)

Do some research on cases and go from there. My mistake was I just went and bought some WC stuff and didn't plan the setup. Part of the fun is picking out the components yourself and setting the loop up etc etc :)

Just to give you an idea, £300 could get you a Bitfenix Shinobi XL + a RS360 XSPC kit from OCUK if you didn't want to pick out the components individually.

I specifically chose this case because it will fit 2x240 rads ;)

There could be room for a couple of monstas possibly... Certainly one up front:

This is how it is currently, but I will lose the DVD drive and could put the SSD and 1 HDD in its place if more room is needed.

The top fan mounts are brought right away from the mobo side so as to clear the ram when a deep rad is installed.

Thanks,

G

I stand corrected! I have seen a DS1 watercooled on another forum although not entirely convinced at a top mount rad as it'd cover the mobo.
