im after a new Mobo / CPU and RAM for about £300 whats my best bet? was looking at e8400/4gb pc8500 ram and biostar of dfi mobo?

atm i have AMD4800x2 skt939 etc so nothing that can really be reused

Try the Q6600 cpu if you won't game much.

Yeah the Biostar is good board by all accounts, whilst the DFI's are also good (never had one) I gather the BIOSes are complex. Id stick with the E8400 personally, unless you do any sort of encoding/editing etc, a faster dual is better than a slower quad, cheaper too

thanks guys ye i think im gonna go with E8400, Biostar boarad and the OCZ Ram

now i wanna try and find an old shuttle case to put all my old components in for a server absolute ***** trying to find skt 939 ones though
