Looking to upgrade the internals on my pc and after some advice from those more knowledgeable than myself. Not upgraded anything on my pc for a number of years and a bit behind on it all. What I need are the following:

Motherboard
CPU
RAM
HDD
PSU
Optical Drive

Looking for onboard graphics for now as it's mainly for working on and hi def video playing etc. but with option to add a graphics card at a later date if possible.

Hopefully no more than around £250 although I could puch to £300 if its really worth it bearing in mind I am not going to do much high end gaming and autocad is probably most tasking software I have

Seems rather like the consensus is on that then :p

Simple question but whats the difference between AM3 and AM2+ ?

Mainly pin layout and the ability to use DDR3 memory.

AM3 cpu's can be used in AM2+ setups as the cpu's have dual controller for memory :)
