Chaps,

Contract is up today with O2, luckily as I managed to break my phone last week.

What I would like is a 4G Smartphone with a decent camera and easy to use OS on a 2 year contract for around the £30pm mark, with no upfront cost. If it had 16gb of on board memory that is fine if not I need to put a SD card in there.

Phones I have had -

iPhone & iPhone 2 - wasn't a fan of the interface or iOS
Sony Xperia Z3 again wasn't a fan of the phone, died after about 4 months.
Samsung Note 2 - great phone but a little on the large size.

Looking around the O2/Vodaphone sites most of the "new" phones are around the £50 mark.

Any help from people who have a clue?

Checkout mobiles.co.uk, used them a few times and got an amazing deal (they are owned by CarphoneWarehouse).

Always cheaper than the networks directly. Also don't forget about TopCashBack for some extra free money :)

For a start don't look on O2 or Vodafone sites, they're a rip off. Look at mobile ohone contract comparison sites like uswitch or directly on sites such as mobilephonesdirect.

You'll struggle to get a flagship phone for that budget so there's a raft of middleweight phones to chose from or last years flagship. If you didn't mind the software on the note then maybe look at the galaxy's, the new one is due out in March so might be able to get a good deal on the S5.

See that's the thing, on mobiles.co.uk I got a Note 4 (free) unlimited calls & texts plus 1GB data for £28 a month on O2, managed to blag an upgrade directly with O2 for 5GB data for only £3 a month more

I would wait, next month you will get the HTC M9 looks to be very exciting and S6 which should be better fits for you, since you liked the Note but it was too large.

I need a phone within the next 2 days preferably.

I think I have found the one, Samsung S5 16GB, Unlim calls/text, 5GB 4G Data, £50 automatic cashback £33 per month, no upfront fee.

Seems to fit all the boxes, I can live with being £3 over budget for a monhtly contract.

Sound a ok deal?
