Bro is after an upgrade from his 2000 Galaxy 1.9 diesel.

Criteria:
Auto, max 10 years old, 7 seats, parking sensors, cruise
He does less than 10k a year

Budget: £2500 - £3000 absolute max

So far he has been looking at:
Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 2.0
Renault Grand Scenic 2.0
Vauxhall Zafira 1.8

All petrols, is it worth going diesel? If so any others?

My thinking was more in the line of bigger car, thirsty engines, high running costs.

Also if the diesel engines are more reliable than petrol.

Any useful info to add? Or any other suggestions?

Whats the best option at this price range?

If he likes his current Galaxy then what about a newer Galaxy?
Or how about a S-Max?
The three you mention are pretty dire IMO.

For less than 10k miles and at this end of the market I would be going for a simple petrol engine.
