I'm after a building a new PC. I'm not up to date on what's good these days . Last pc I built had a 4790k, so yeah it's been a while.

Budget is good. But not wanting to spend money just for the sake of it.

Things I would like:

White components and white case

9070xt
AMD socket 5
Liani li curved screen all in one cpu cooler

Any thing else I'm open to

What's your budget?

Are you wanting to build this yourself, or are you looking for a prebuild?

Are there any particular games you want to play, or is it a general gaming thing? Will you be doing anything else with the PC such as productivity type tasks?

Do you need literally everything, PC/keyboard/mouse/headset/monitor etc?

I would be building myself,

Just gaming with very occasional office stuff

Unlikely I'd be doing 4k gaming mainly due to the cost of monitors. justifying the cost rather than the actual cost

Peripherals I'd look at separately

Budget i would say 2k-3k including a monitor or 2

M-ATX option:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,966.72 (includes delivery: £0.00)

You could spend another £30-40 on the 9850X3D, but there's very little between them (less than a few percent) in performance, AMD is where it's at right now for gaming and platform longevity.

Curved screen AIO that's much cheaper than the Lian Li you mentioned, Thermalright make some incredibly good cooling solutions and it'll perform just as well for your use case.

PSU is solid and comes with white braided cables/combs for management, something people often spend more money on in kit forms.

A standard ATX build could be done for around the same price, but honestly you're not really gaining much par a case that takes up more room for what you're looking to do.

I own the Phanteks XT M3 in white myself and it's a brilliant case, feels much more premium than you'd expect for £50.

Thanks. looks good . I would probably swap out the motherboard for an atx board with plenty of m.2 options. And the case for a mid/full tower and also go for the 9850x3d.

I would also add 2 x 2k monitors

Apart from that its good. I appreciate the help

How about this? I know there is 2 cases but I'm not sure which I prefer at the moment

You're massively overspending on the motherboard for no benefit.

Both of those cases are good, but neither comes with fans and you'd need to factor that into the costs and outside of aesthetics they offer zero benefit.

You have specified the 9950X3D rather than the 9850X3D, the 9950X3D is a 16c32t cpu aimed at productivity, it offers no benefit in games over the 9800X3D and in turn the aforementioned 9850X3D (which is essentially just an 8c/16t refresh).

The monitor is frankly awful for gaming, it's a smaller 4K low refresh monitor aimed at productivity (think photoshop) rather than gaming for a premium.

You should be looking at 27-32" high refresh 1440P screens, or arguably 34" if going ultrawide. I'd be wanting an OLED for that sort of money and a gaming focus. For media use (games, movies etc) I personally feel 4K is absolutely pointless at sizes smaller than 32" and even that will depend on how far you sit from the screen.

The larger form factor is a personal choice, but having a ton of M.2 slots you never use isn't necessarily beneficial. GPU's are so huge now they often cover any extra PCI-E slots you might get, not that there's much point for gaming use these days anyway. Even if you want to upgrade your audio, you're better off with an external solution 99% of the time rather than an internal soundcard. In regards to cooling they offer little either outside of extreme scenarios, which gaming certainly isn't.

In future, click the BB box at the bottom of the basket page and copy-paste the contents into the forum, it'll make it easier to view your basket.

Any other suggestions for an white atx motherboard?

I do prefere the look of a bigger case

Just did a comparison online and your right the 9850X3D definitely the better choice . I just went with higher ghz = better. Obviously I was wrong.

No probs ill keep looking

I'll bear it in mind. Audio isn't a major thing as I mostly have a headset on when gaming

Will do

Naming schemes for tech aren't any better now than they were ten years ago unfortuantely.

Motherboard options:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £436.96 (includes delivery: £7.99)

Any would be more than capable for your use case.

Here's some monitor options:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,148.93 (includes delivery: £0.00)

Unless you're wanting to do super high refresh competitive online gaming, I'd avoid 1080P.

I favour ultrawide screens, but I would suggest reading into them a little to confirm they'd be suitable for the games you want to play.

Also consider panel type, OLED can be amazing but isn't necessarily your best option. For gaming specifically I'd suggest IPS or OLED:

VA is another option, but in high refresh gaming I've yet to find one that didn't have a problem.
