spec of the forums server?

AFAIK the forum server is one server and most certianly will not have the OcUK website on it.

Ahah thanks, I did wonder if it referred to slashdot the website but couldnt work out why that was important.

Of course it's not on a 1MB line. It's in a datacentre in London with proper bandwidth.

Well yes I presumed it was in a datacenter and had dedicated hosting but I presume the forums wouldnt actually take up much bandwidth (as beansprout seems to think too) so a 1Mbit dedicated line doesnt seem too far out (although maybe a bit low).

It doesn't use more than a couple of mbps, perhaps, but it certainly has the capacity for more. I would be surprised if it was on anything less than 100mb.
