Hi all,

After two specs for a friend if possible. Gaming only no need for monitor, keyboard etc. tower only.

Max budget - £2,000, ideally £1,8000

Graphics card - Ideally 4080 super can be rx 7900xtx if will get a more balanced system.

CPU - I would have gone with a 7800X3D but open to suggestions.

Case something attractive with a glass side and RGB fans etc.

He's ideally after a black and white option for the above.

Thanks all!

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £2,107.92 (includes delivery: £0.00)

not sure why ocuk have priced the mobo so high...can get the motherboard cheaper elsewhere (-£50)
i would also recommend swapping the aio cooler for: Thermalright AQUA ELITE 360 White V3 (-£40)
i would also swap the ssd to the sn850x 2tb which is cheaper elsewhere (-£10)
if you want to save a bit more, can swap the case to something more vanilla: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/phan...empered-glass-window-white-cas-phk-01444.html (-£5)
the changes will get the price down to £2000 +/- a few quid

if you want to get it even cheaper, then i'd change out the mobo for something cheaper...would get it down to £1950 or thereabouts

I noticed that this had gone back up a few days ago.

I've had it in my checkout along with a 7800X3D waiting to see what happens with the 9x00 processors at the end of the month.

Yeah, will force me to go else where so unsure why they put the price back up.

i don't believe in brand/company loyalty...everyone is looking to maximise profits.
just go with the cheapest that has some semblance of customer support i'd say :P

A black RGB option.

I went with Intel just for variety, you could easily switch and still stay in budget.

Thanks very much appreciated - passed it on!

Just a side note I've had some bad luck with the MSI psu had 3 back to back all had annoying coil whine at idle loudest part of the build. Got them from the rain forest could be a bad batch dunno as the last one also had strange fan noise.

Was it specifically the A850G, or the A850GL?
