Sorry got to say it but you bought the wrong console for a six year old.... should've bought the Wii 
Can't really think of any others besides those mentioned, Viva Pinata and Lego Star Wars are musts really and Kameo is a good shout. Worms on Arcade is worth the points.

Why are people suggesting games that have an age certificate of 12 and above for a 6 year old? 
I would suggest:
1. Viva Pinata
2. Viva Pinata Party Animals
3. Lego Star Wars Collection
4. Bionicles
5. Kameo
6. lots of XBL games to choose from.
I definitely wouldn't suggest any of the big name shooters.
