For £400 including VAT+Pick up. I told her I could buy her components from OC for cheaper, any specs for under £400?

I'm not so sure you will be able to beat it or at least not by that much, at the low end is where bulk buying really shows the worth so many large manufacturers can give good deals on simple pre-builds. I'd probably try to get 2gb Ram though, I've been led to believe that Vista isn't too great on 1gb Ram.

Can do a system with basically the same spec for £31 more from overclockers.

Prebuilt system is going to have cheaper hardware which makes it pretty much impossible to match on oc'ers if you want to match or beat the spec.
