Specc me an SSD please

I need a 240 Gig SSD for my daughter's PC , it's a Windows10 PC her specs are ( as far as I know ) Intel i5, 16 Gigs DDR3 please .

She tells me she would like it to be a Samsung one lol
Oh and a 2TB HDD please .

SSD is an SSD, most just go for lowest price to max storage they can afford

all have different techs and controllers etc, but unless your a tech freak that measures every benchmark- they all do the same job pretty much the same

my family are all pro samsung for obvious reasons looking at linked in - have far to many nvme drives of theirs but doen't get used for what they are designed to do haha, others will be just as fine

I got a 240gb Kingston SDD for 40 quid. Absolutely no complaints with it so far.

I have the TeamGroup 240GB one and it works just fine. Blazing fast compared with a mechanical and is quite a bit faster than my other older SSD.

I used WD blue 240gb at work. I was there for a year not one failed.
There are offers on website with mechanical drives too. System at home has WD blue new drive and a 6 year old SanDisk ssd still going strong.
Any ssd will add a massive jump in any system from a mechanical drive.

i have a 120gb WDG and its been spot on, on the zon with prime i think, £36 for the 240gb version. i have 2 64gb kingspec models in my other computers, less than £20 and been fine, id go with a WD myself unless you want to pay a premium for an Evo.

SSD may lose out to a Samsung in benchmarks, but in real world use she will not notice the difference.

On a side note, just seen the price of the 1TB SSD (£140). May treat myself on pay day.
