With the TwistDock you are always ready for action. What can be more irritating when you have to stop halfway with playing a game because the battery of your controller is dead? However, this will be a thing of the past from now on. With the TwistDock your controllers will always be ready for action.
Your battery will be charged even when the game computer has been switched off. Through an ingenious turning system you can easily place two controllers at the back of the TwistDock. As a result the controllers are always within reach and charged in less than no time. So your controllers will not be hidden anymore between the cushions of the sofa. And this is also the case for those irritating moments that you lost a game because the battery of your controller was dead.
Cables are smartly hidden

In many households the Playstation 3 game console is an indispensable part of the interior. This is especially so because the PS3 is more than merely a game computer. It is a fully fledged media centre with internet, on demand television and a blu-ray/3D player. In the future they will be placed in more living rooms next to the flat screen. However, as with many devices, the PlayStation 3 has a jumble of cables that many people find very annoying. With the TwistDock these cables can be hidden smartly, while the PS3 is placed on a pedestal.

- Dock - Docks you PS3

A company called Vogel has unveiled an interesting new dock for the PS3 called the TwistDock. The TwistDock will work with the new PS3 Slim and the original fat PS3. The TwistDock stands the PS3 up on its side and offers a base that hides all the cables and holds a pair of PS3 controllers for charging.

The TwistDock also adds an additional pair of charging USB ports to keep accessories connected and charging. An additional four-port USB hub is also optionally available to add even more devices along with an accessory cable set to make things even neater. If you are using an original PS3, you know how hot the thing runs. Getting more of the bottom of the PS3 exposed to air may help the device run cooler too.

Says it can hold both Slim and Fat PS3

Just bought a double 360/PS3 pad 'Pyramid' charging station.

Glows like ****ing blackpool when charging so had to put it in a cupboard but it's pretty awesome none the less :)

you guys do know that if you keep your console upright, the laser will die quicker.

think about how the laser moves, when sitting down it moves left to right in order to go from the inner part of the disc to the outer part. now sit your console upright the laser has to move upwards and downwards, moving against mavity causes extra stress on the components making them burn out faster.

you know some people had to resort to putting their ps1's upside down after a while due to lasers becoming lazy (this wasnt a problem with console being upright, because you could only sit it one way, but a problem with laser mechanism and putting it upside down made it easier for the mechanism to move about). then with the ps2, people who kept their consoles upright, majority of the time their console stopped reading discs after a while, due to extra stress placed on the laser mechanism.

i was told this by an engineer who repairs consoles for a living and he advises all his customers to keep their consoles flat, so dont flame me if its wrong just passing it on.

thats why a lot of the earlier consoles the laser died on them, i think its the same for xbox too, well i wouldnt take the risk. these consoles are built with some cheap components to try and keep costs down, sony and microsoft make a loss on each console sold. do you really think they would put a decent mechanism in when they could put a crappy plastic one in? especially when they are making a loss on every console sold.

choice is yours ;)

Just a handy tip i learnt on this forum for those not wishing to spend £45 on a charger - you can charge your ps3 pad with your sky/virgin box, and your pads will charge even with the ps3 off. My pad charges from my VM box :)

This would look really cool if I had a black gloss glass table stand in the corner of my room just to display this. Shame I don't have anything like that though.

£40 seems ok as long as the build quality is high and doesn't feel cheap.
