So after doing a lot of research and knowing hardly anything to do with computers before I started this project I have finally chosen all the components I am going to use to build it. I want to say a BIG thank you to everybody that has helped in anyway as you may have seen some of my noobish questions scattered around these forums :) Please feel free to tell me where my weak points are and where I can improve and have a look if everything is compatible and will fit although I think it all will. I haven't brought anything for the actual PC yet so if there's something I should get, do or change please tell me before hand. Here it is:

CPU - Core i5-2500K
HDD - Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache
Optical Drive - Sony Optiarc AD-7260B 24x DVD±RW & DL SATA - OEM Black
Motherboard - Asus P8P67 Socket 1155 USB 3.0 Bluetooth 8 Channel Audio ATX
Graphics card - ASUS HD 6870 1GB GDDR5
RAM - Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz/PC3-12800 XMS3 i5 CL9(9-9-9-24) 1.65V
PSU - Corsair 650W TX Series PSU - 120mm Fan, 80+% Efficiency, Single +12V Rail
Case - antec 902

Extras
Speakers - creative inspire t3130 2.1
Keyboard - CYBORG V5
Mouse - Logitech G5 (got this a year ago so its old but I don't mind)
Monitor - Samsung BX2235

Ill buy that one instead, cheers.
That case, while good is looking a bit poor for value, to be honest. You can get just as good, if not better cases, for the same/less. I would suggest going for something like the Lancool PC-K62/58, the Coolermaster CM 690-II or the Xigmatek Utgard.
I will get a new case and if you want to help I need it to fit these dimensions:
H: 55cm
W: 21cm
D: 45cm
(All maximums to fit in the case holder on the desk I got from focus)

Corsair A50 High-Performance CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/AM3/LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366) [CAFA50]

edit, if they fit in whatever case you get.

do I really need a cpu cooler if I'm not going to be overclocking which I don't intend to yet. I got unlocked just encase I wanted to in future once my pc is fully build. The processor does come with stock cooling right?

The depth is actually more like 42cm but I could probably allow some overhang but the case has to be small and fit atx components while also able to fit a 24.1 cm gpu. Any ideas, this seems like quite a challenge.

Okay so after a few hours of trying to find cases that fit the dimensions it is virtually impossible so I'm thinking of just removing the case holder altogether and putting the computer on the floor (carpet). The only thing is with this is that I've heard it can cause ventilation problems so what do you all think about placing it on the carpet? I don't really want to put it on the desk as there isn't really enough space.

I've sorted everything now apart from the graphics card. I'm considering buying the HIS because it is the cheapest by far so I was wondering why and what your thoughts are on this. Also I saw that the foxconn only has 2 usb 3.0s where as the asus 1 I previously chose had 4. Is this the reason in price as well as the brand name? And finally what is a usb 2.0 as it says they have 12 of them?!

wow... so, here's the final specs then it seems:
CPU - Core i5-2500K
HDD - Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache
Optical Drive - Sony Optiarc AD-7260B 24x DVD±RW & DL SATA - OEM Black
Motherboard - Foxconn P67A-S Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3
Graphics card - HIS ATI Radeon HD 6870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express with FREE CODMW2 Game
RAM - Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz/PC3-12800 XMS3 i5 CL9(9-9-9-24) 1.65V
PSU - Antec TruePower New 650W Modular PSU - 80plus Bronze and SLI Certified 3x SATA
Case - Antec 902 V3

Thanks everybody. I'll try and get some pictures up as I'll order all the parts today so that it should be done by end of next week :)

The final two extras I need to decide on are which Windows 7 version to get and a network card. Can somebody explain them and recommend some please :)

I know, I only want home but theres:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium - Retail (Full Version)(GFC-00025)
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit - OEM (GFC-00564)
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-00599)
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade DVD - 32/64bit Retail(GFC-00026)
and I don't know the difference between any :S

K. I think I'll get the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit - OEM then. Finally, (I think we all hope) I need to get a wireless network card. Where do I start on getting that and what would you recommend?
