Hey Guys!
So recently i gave up on console gaming and decided to change to pc gaming.
My cousins bought me a pc from ebay with these specs:
  • CPU: Intel i5-4670K 3.4GHz, 6MB, Haswell, 84W, Intel Graphics - OVERCLOCKABLE
  • CPU Cooling: GELID SOLUTIONS Phenom 120 PWM 12dBA Fan
  • Motherboard: Asus Gryphon Z87 uATX
  • GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1070 G1 8GB GDDR5 - OVERCLOCKABLE
  • RAM: Corsair 16GB 2x8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CL10 XMP
  • SSD: Samsung 250 GB 850 EVO
  • HD: 1TB Western Digital Blue 3.5 inch
  • PSU: Corsair CXM 500W Modular 80 Plus Bronze
  • CASE: Corsair Carbide Series 300R Mid-Tower
  • Optical Drive: LG DVD Rewriter
  • Other: 1x140mm Silent Wings 3 FAN, 2x120mm Corsair Air Series PWM Quiet Edition SP FAN, 2x140mm Stock Case FAN
Was going to ask, what is this PC capable of? and if i wanted to upgrade it, what could i upgrade? Thanks in advance!

i5-4670K will hold the GTX 1070 back in a number of games now (it's the lack of more than four threads that does it), so start looking for used i7-4770K or i7-4790K. Maybe pull trigger at £100. The rest is fine for high 1080p or medium 1440p resolution gaming. Larger SSD (for your motherboard you want SATA SSD) always nice to hold more of your favourite games and improve load times.

Without knowing the price paid, that's a nice system and will do fine for a year or two at 1080p, until we know what ps5 xbox whatever they call it can do.

You could change up the motherboard, cpu, ram to ddr4 etc but in honesty I'd be happy for now and save for a full new system when you are sure that pc is your thing over console.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll defiantly take this onboard and look to upgrade to i7 and get more SSD.

Price paid was 400 on the dot. Well, plus postage and packaging.
But yeh, hopefully i’ll stick to PC gaming.

Honestly, you did OK there, will do fine for a couple of years. I cant comment on flipping the intel chip and moving up there as i've been with amd longer than any of my ex wives.

Id stick with the samsung ssd as a boot drive 250 seems fine but yeah, I did recently buy a 1tb samsung qvo to replace my games HDD so thats a thing if it's happy spendy cash.
