Im back again my friends.

After coming to a conclusion, my friend came back to me with some specs, here is what he got.

AMD FX8150 @3.4GHZ
16 GB DDR 3 ram
120 GB Vertex 3 SSD Drive
1 TB Hitachi HDD
ATI Radeon 7870 2 GB Graphics Card
Antec 800w PSU
Sony 22x DVD Writer
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
ASrock Extreme AM3+ Mainboard
Standard ATX Case.
2 Year Warranty.


The things i have bolded and underlined are things me and my family want to change, so.

AMD FX8150 @3.4 GHZ - Intel Pentium I7-990X

16 GB DDR 3 Ram - Not sure.

ATI Radeon 7870 2GB Graphics Card - Geforce GTX 680.


Just wondered if that's alright, and does anything else need changing?

Whats this PC to be used for?

Both the FX8150 and i7 990X get killed by the i5 3570K and i7 3770K,

Yeah i agree with stulid. I have a 3770K and its amazing for its price. Personally the 8150 is a good CPU though compared to what Intel offers for the same price range i think the 3570K is the way to go.

I would not touch AMD CPUs at the moment with a barge pole for a gaming rig.

Go with Stulid's spec - you won't be disappointed, it will also perform far better than the AMD spec.
