Hello all,
I'm new hear so please be gentle
, I used to build computers as a hobby, however this was many moons ago and am some what out of practice. Anyways as its been so long (I mean the last computer i built was, when then AMD Phenom II Triple Core and Nvidia GTX 260 was good) I've lost touch with what components are worth what and how they preform.
So here's my question, im looking at a laptop with these specs (ill hold back on the brand to avoid bias, as i know myself have been guilty of this.)
Specs:
Display size/resolution - 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 screen
PC Memory - 6GB DDR3 SDRAM 1600MHz
PC CPU - Intel Core i5 6200u 2.3 GHz / 2.8 GHz with Turbo Boost - Dual Core 3MB Cache
Graphics - 128MB Intel HD Graphics 520
Storage - 1TB 5,400rpm HDD
Networking - 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.0
The cost of that system is £540 or £600 if you add a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 940M (2 GB DDR3) grapics chip.
Are the specs worth the £540
I would be using the laptop for everyday use, light gaming (nothing graphics intensive), watching films ect.
Many many thanks in advance
