Does anybody here know of, or have experience of, Specsavers returns/refund policy?

I got some new glasses off them the other day, and despite numerous trips back to the shop, the things just won't fit me properly. Also, on closer inspection the lenses are not identical - one has been drilled in a different place to the other resulting in quite a significant 'slanting' effect when they are worn.

On the back of my receipt it says they will sort anything out within 6 months "no quibble, no fuss", but there is no mention of refunds. The glasses are unsuitable and badly made, therefore I want my money back. Am I within my rights to ask for this?

if that dont work, walk in knocking over all the sunglasses/glasses racks claiming that there is something wrong with your glasses.

I think your first mistake was buying glasses off a high street.

Did you pay using a credit card?

Where else am I going to buy them? "The Internets"? Who would be even worse trying to amend the fit?

No, I didn't pay with a credit card however - would this alter anything?

Edit: Gotta say I love the comedy value of LoSt's suggestion though, I'm so tempted to try it :D

I think rather what he did was buy them on or from the high street, rather than off.*

Anyways, I'd go in and see if there are any other glasses you might want, surely they have a wide enough range and are more likely to give you a replacement than a refund.

Not that I'm suggesting you're not entitled to a refund, I'm not sure on that one.

*May or may not be true.
