Speech on Xbox live

Hi there,

Finally got round to activating my xbox live gold account yesterday (had it since August 2007 ) and was having a bash at COD4 and although I could hear some voices, some were cutting in and out like crazy.

Is this normal or are there some settings I should change somewhere ?

Could it also have something to do with my 2Mb broadband connection, even though the action was silky smooth !

I'll check out my NAT status. To be honest, the speech I could hear was a little annoying since it was americans slating Brits.

Is it possible to turn off other peoples speech so you can only hear people you want to ?

Just read that through and it does sound a bit much to ask for

I'll just maintain the stiff upper lip and let my gun do the talking

Have to get quite a bit better though, I'm awful at the moment!
