Must have been my lucky day with the police getting a coffee. It made me slow down and be more cautious since.

Just say it was either Richard or Judy driving, but you have no recollection which one it was.
And by the way, when it becomes the norm that 'everyone' puts themselves on the wrong side of the law, even a trivial law, then 'everyone' puts themselves - willingly - under the thumb. It isn't so much that you're unfairly assumed Guilty until proven innocent, you're waving a big Guilty flag at The Man and saying Come and get me!

I thought the new law where you "can't remember" who was driving the vehicle gets fines and points to both parties?

That's a good result. Some will summon you at 100+ and you would be looking at a possible ban.

Well I'm glad that I don't go above 80 indicated (73 GPS) unless going down that big hill near Bath where there are no bridges for these people to place cameras.
You can reach 90 even with pretty much closing the throttle 
Its a bit of a pain sometimes as yesterday I was cruising at 80 behind a Merc (who must have had cruise control - his speed didn't move one bit) in the inside lane, but people middle lane where overtaking and people in the outside where overtaking that!
It was reasonably light traffic so if the people on the inside lane got done for doing 80 indicated that bloody ridiculous
No, they prosecute the registered keeper for failing to identify the driver which is usually 6 points and a hefty fine.
So what would happen in my case? I have a Motability vehicle due to my disabilities. Motability (the charity) are the registered keeper, and there are two drivers on the policy. Since the drivers are me and my (very, very) similar looking brother?...
If I got a letter in 2 weeks time I would genuinely struggle to say which of us was driving at the time. A photo taken a proverbial mile away of a 6'5" skinhead wouldn't help resolve matters, and since the RK is a charity whose employees have never even met me, it seems harsh to give them points?
All that said, I don't worry too much about scameras because I stick to the posted limits. But we all know places where they wait at the bottom of a hill and after a bend, and so on. But anyway, about the scenario above?...

Too late now.
You would have to receive an NIP within 14 days.
fail you dont loose your licence untill you get 6 point from car only. the points from his bike are carried over but do not count on the 6 point rule. i had a mate who had 6 points before he even passed his car test.

i got a 28 day ban
but conversely a £70 fine for doing almost exactly the same speed.
Just depends how they weight the penalty.

If it was 80 indicated, you should be OK... but if it was 80 on GPS, you'll probably be getting that letter
its now been 4 weeks, and still no letter

Emailed my Tpol mate about this, new drivers act applies to your first full license, so it would appear that if the OP is over 2 years on the bike license he has nothing to worry about on the car license. Also if you get banned for less than a certain amount of days on a less than 2yr license you may just get it reinstated without retesting etc.. Hes asking me if i'm paranoid now with all the emails i've sent him lately

Saying "I don't know who was driving guv" will earn the RK with 6 points and a large fine for "failing to furnish". You are expected to show due diligence in ascertaining the identity of the driver (e.g. who paid for petrol, food, etc on the journey, etc) so just saying "it could've been anyone soz!" won't cut it. If a company is the RK and they don't nominate a driver, or the driver(s) they both nominate claim it wasn't them then they will ultimately receive a very large fine (but no points obviously).
There's an awful lot of guff in this thread tbh, they don't need to have speed camera warning signs up, they can park where they want including at the bottom of hills, out of sight, etc. None of it alters the legitimacy of the offence.
