i have just started to learn to overclock my cpu /board without altering the voltages intel badaxe 2 and q6600.

when i open speedfan my temps appear quite low at stock i have them as low as 12 - 14 on all cores but when i open occt the temps displayed are a lot higher even before i load it:eek:

is speedfan accurate ? or occt or am i missing something:confused:

thanks :)

Speedfan shows the incorrect temps for me (always too low), and OCCT is correct, so I'd say no - your speedfan temps arent right.

Like Meronem said, what cooling do you have?

Try Coretemp. That's the best one to rely on IMO.

im using a artic pro 7 but ive been looking at the tuniq and also the ultra 120 extreme but wonder if i will have isue fitting them in my case.

ok i will try core temp :)
