Would any of you fine people be able to give me some suggestions that may speed up my PC. The spec is in the Sig.

Any advice would be great.

What exactly do you mean when you say speed it up? It depends entirely on what you want to do faster as to what you should upgrade.

Everything looks pretty good to be honest, but you would most likely benefit greatly from a SSD.

:edit: Just got in before the below post - ZING!

don't see much wrong with your pc. what is it slow at? maybe chuck in an ssd would be my only real suggestion

edit: beaten to it

Doesnt really need to be said i guess, but i'm loving the speed of my SSD, worthwhile speed increase for only £80 odd.

Yeah, that makes sense. My temps are actually fine, but the boot process is a pain. So SSD may be the way to go.

Incidently, can I transfer the OS using True Image or something like that or would I need to install the OS from Scratch?

What SSD do you suggest?

Go for at least 120gb (bigger if you can afford it). There's a pretty cool review thread of all the current SSDs in the news and deals forum to peruse.

Its not just boot times that are improved. The all round responsiveness of the os is better and games /programs load much quicker. Definitely recommend a clean install though.

Shaggy, have a read through this, OcUK SSD Tests

see what you fancy and just buy the largest you can afford. I'm not sure about your board and what controller it uses, but even if it uses the poor version of the marvel controller you will still see a pretty damn big jump in performance.

edit: I'd also advise doing a full re-install if you can, but that's just my opinion. Some folk will tell you it's perfectly fine to use true image etc and it might well be. But if it was me I'd be backing up anything I want to keep and then re-installing, thereby getting rid of all the rubbish that we accumulate on our harddrives and you know you are starting from a clean slate

Agree with all the above.
An SSD improves the whole PC experience but a clean install is best (also remember to switch the bios from ide too otherwise you don't get trim support etc).

You can easily up the 920 to 4Ghz if it's the D0 revision
