Flipping is a big problem when a certain types of driver wants a Tall car so they can see over traffic (to make them feel "safe") but they also want a narrow car to make parking easier.
The combination of the two can be a devastating even at relatively slow speeds. The 40mph Elk tests above are a great example where, in which "normal" family cars (like Mondeos/3 series type cars) the manoeuvre is much less dramatic compared to Tall/Narrow cars, and those without ESP are even more at risk.
