Speedfan help

Due to the smartfan option in my bios not working properly, how do i set this horribly complicated speedfan program to just load my CPU fan at 55% on startup? I dont want it to adjust it or anything else, just want it on 55% all the time. Everytime i reboot, it seems to forget any settings and just go back to 100%.

Use a Max speed of 55% for the fan in question.

Speedfan>Configure>Speeds.
Hi-light your fan, then set the desired % and tick Automatically Variated.
Click Ok and ensure Automatic Fan Speed is also ticked on the main page.
