Who was it that was telling us how your never get done and anyone that can prove it on the piston heads forum will give you £50... something along these lines.

Well mine was on 1st June 2004, he was asking the date (My mum just sent me a digital copy of my old license) I was told by the copper you can be done for 30.1 in a 30mph zone as the tolerance system went in the year 2000. This was in Gloucestershire. I dont have the yellow ticket showing I was doing less then 3 mph over the limit tho.

So the point in this thread is what exactly? You don't appear to have proven that you got a ticket for doing 30.1 in a 30?

 So you've not proven you can get done for going 30.1 in a 30?

Speeding is speeding, while technically accurate that you can get done for being just a fraction over as the 10% rule etc is a guideline for prosecution.

Unlikely to happen, but possible.

I was the one telling you that. The guy on Pistonheads is called LoonR1 and I believe it was £100 he was offering, not £50.

However, you still don't seem to have any proof so I'm not sure what this thread is for  The whole point I was making is that loads of people claim to have been done for 31/32 in a 30 but not a single person has been able to provide any proof.

30.1 as in .1mph above 30mph? I find that very very hard to believe.

I was done for 31.86 or something like that in a 30. Me saying 30.1 was just an example.

I was just giving the date, as it was asked when it was. Its different in different areas too apparently too hence me putting Gloucestershire.

Do lupo's even reach 30 mpg?

It was on a motorbike ;-)
My Lupo 1.9TDI did 60mpg even when thrashed so YES!
Oki this was a bit pointless but at least I have the date now. I have a conviction code of 1692 is that unique or what all SP30 are? (Google doesnt come up with it)

I've heard many people swear blind that they were caught doing 31MPH and given a ticket, yet I've never seen any evidence of this.

Unfortunately, until someone actually does show something, this thread is pointless.

Edit: And regardless, it can't happen since the 2011 ACPO guidance on speed limit enforcement.

so not 30.1 at all - nearer 32....

either way though - given that a quick google shows most speed guns are only accurate to ±1mph anyway, I highly doubt anyone has ever been done for 0.1mph
