Speeding question

You would need an extremely quick car to accelerate upto 150mph on a 30mph road before you come to some sort of obstacle such as a round-a-bout, a junction or even just a corner.

Well IMO someone who manages to do 150mph on a 30mph are suicidal and putting peoples lifes at risk for no reason, they shouldn't be allowed behind a wheel. Indefinate ban.
Yes yes, I realise the quick car and obstacle bit :p

Although the "indefinite ban" answer is interesting. I was imagining a prison sentace.

That too. :p Dependant on the damage caused and number of lives put at risk, I'm guessing the sentance would variate. But regardless of that, I think they shouldn't be allowed to drive a car again.

Hmm not enough IMO. Speeding on safe and clear roads maybe, but double the speed limit in a 30 is taking it too far.
Agreed but maybe 6-9 months ban though.

Dependant on the road and time of the offence probably is what I would settle for.

An empty road at 4am, would be a lesser sentance for 3.05pm outside a school :p

I think I'd rather get done for failure to provide name of the driver (assuming this still carries 3 points) than 63 in a 30...

Then you could end up getting slapped with perverting the ..whatever its called. :)
You're not providing the wrong details, you're just providing no details at all. You'll go to court and get found guilty of this, the punishment will be 3 points and a fine. Surely they can't do you for perverting the course of justice aswell?

Deliberately withholding information. It's not because you don't have the information, it's because you won't delcare the information because you know where it will land you. The court would see you as a cowardice individual and probably throw the book at you for trying to worm your way out.
