Speeding video

I suppose could be seen as the thoughts that go through the driver's head in that fraction of a second prior to the impact.

Clever!

It's pretty good at getting the point across, but i'm not sure about the ending of "Other people make mistakes, slow down".

We all make mistakes. Its just sometimes the mistakes we make kill other people.

I thought it was very good.

People pull out on other people all the time because they don't recognize the excess speed of the other guy.

Its part of defensive driving, be aware of other road users and assume they are going to do something un-expected.

The road in the video is one of those roads that makes it difficult to judge speeds too

True. Just it seems like its aimed more at watching out for one another than purely speeding, but I suppose that may be more effective.

Still, I always expect what they really shouldn't do next, and am often right. :p

I found this part the best, or at least most enlightening part of the advert.

People, myself included, have been guilty of driving around and assuming everyone else should be driving perfectly.

If I pulled out on someone it's because I had to, if they do it to me, they are a jerk.

didn't see with audio (forgot headphones) but still gave me goose bumps. but yea as said seems to be more about awareness than straight up "Speed kills everything" which is good :)

I remember playing a game with my parents. I must have been about 12 ro so and whenever I was driving with just one of them I would sit in the front.

The game was that we had to take it in turns to spot stupid things that other cars could do. So "white van could get impatient and overtake". "Blue car could pull out infront of us." etc tec. Taught me so much when every now and then it would happen that way.

Been driving 23 years, only accident I have ever had was when I was waiting for the car in front to turn right. Car behind me went into the back of me. I even noticed him in my rear view and flashed my brake lights at him. But it turned out he was changing his CD and never even noticed I was there :-/

I'd only had the car 8 days (Subaru Imprezza as well) :-(

Indeed. It's all very well if the driver who pulls out claims he misjudged the gap because the approaching car was going too fast but that's fairly academic when you're dead.

It's not who's right, it's who's left.

Best single piece of advice my dad game me when I learnt to drive. "Always assume everyone else on the road is an idiot and might do something stupid no matter what it looks like they are doing".

This ad is amazing. The body language of the guy with the kid when he's walking back to his car is so genuine and convincing.

It's great that it highlights both parties can be at fault when things like this happen.
