Speedstep

lower the FSB instead of multiplier ;-). Will do just what you need. And I think if you change the multiplier it will still work fine, why shouldnt it ? Speedstep will always drop it to x6 (or whatever your lowest is) no matter what your current multiplier is AFAIK.

I've known a few boards that get weird in speedstep with anything but the default multiplier. I have an Ip35 that's like that, also depends on which bios I use.

Well my board wont let me use speedstep without the default multi for some reason. I wanted to go to 400*8 as it uses a lot less v's than 3.6, but without speedstep its sitting there guzzling juice when all I'm needing it for is browsing etc.

I'm a big fan of speedstep :p
