Guys not sure if this in the right place but i tried to load this onto my new PC the other day and it wouldnt let me ?

Gave me some Security error and told me i wasnt allowed to do it or i didnt have permission?

Wanted to install it onto my slave 1T drive and thought maybe it dont like being installed on something thats not C so tried that and still no joy

Any ideas ???? :confused:

This is the Original Game no expansions and not SpellForce 2 etc

Its quite a good RPG and i have wasted many hours completeing up to SF2 before the expansion.

I might just buy it through steam and be done with it :)
 
Yea i really really enjoyed it also

not so much SF2 and i never brought the Addon for it but it was still a good game.

Mine are all Disks as well.

Yea i think ill get it through steam, i think it will work out about £30 for the lot which i think is best part of 100+ hours Game time.

only reason i didnt want to install though steam is my steam account it on my SSD and i only got about 60-70 gig left of a 240gig drive...........
 
Well if you do your have to let me know cause ill have to purchase it also and have a ding dong with you :D

I never got round to doing the Stone Mountains map ( i think it was name, the 1 with the mega spawn rates and was hard no matter what level you tried to do it at) on ultra hard, always failed i think miserabley :lol:
 
I think the 1st was brilliant

Addons where quite fun as well although i found a bit shorter then the original game.

Simple point and shoot RPG, build your army, conquer a map, nice sort of story.

Dont recall enjoying spellforce 2 so much and then i think i started playing WOW which meant i never got round to buying the last expansion.

Nice to see a new 1 out, might have to play it through to Spellforce 2 again :D

As i said above at present or last night about 11:00 it was £5 for the lot on steam!!!!!!

well thats about as much use as a chocolate tea pot.........

I downloaded last night anyway, set it off about 10ish and when i woke up at 4 it was all DL and done but i didnt play.
 
Well i am 30 hours in now

Played on Hard from the start, died a few times being over zealous trying to attack camps before spawn rates got so high :lol:

Still quite enjoying it, just done Godwall and into Mulandir (sp)

Going to go back to Stoneblade mountain soon ;)
 
Yea from what i remember, slightly different UI etc

It has a strange addiction for me, i know all the maps inside out yet still want to play it.

Just gone 1 way through "the rift" so about to build army to go back :D
 
Well i am now nearly 50 hours playing Spellforce....................

Just got to the last map. Might have a few days off then going into Breath of winter Addon.

Had a few issues with Southern Godmark on Hard, let a blade get back to the camp and i was inundated with wave after wave after wave of blades
 
Well thought id update

100 hours in just about to rescue the Elf at the end of Breath of Winter.

Its been a hard slog i must say but i have been doing it on hard.

Got to a stage when i thought i was going to have to start again cause my char level wasnt high enough and Mob level was higher then my char but took my time, went back and did a few side quests and got to last level, now at 26 after fighting my way into the last section of BofW.

its all good fun but i must admit i am slightly addicted again, not been going to bed or logging off it till gone 11 most nights i play :)
 
Well with Steam DL i now have i have to insert my new CD key everytime i log the game which is monotonous as i think i know it in my head now off by heart :p

Hope to complete BOW tonight and maybe import 1 of my Chars into OofD :)
 
Oh the starforce thing is a bit like Steam wasnt, jesus thats how ,long ago i installed it 1st time round as i forgot that

Might explain why it didnt load for me :)

Well did another 4 hours last night........ forgot i had another level to do :(
 
No not looked at buying it yet

I have though now got 130+ hours playing SP1 on hard........

Will start SF2 once i have completed SF1 then look at getting Faith in destiny ;)

Was hoping i could DL it on steam ????
 
Well it was 17.99 on steam last night but ill wait a few weeks then buy it

I am a few levels away from completing Spellforce 1

Then will start spellforce 2 at the beginning :)

Anybody say if the game is a continuation of Spellforce 2 or an add on that isnt really an addon :D
 
Sorry i was just talking Spellforce in general and playing the 1st 1 then moving onto the 2nd 1 because i knew the expansion for spellforce 2 was out soon, was hoping to get all completed before now but not even got to spellforce 2 yet :o
 
Yea i save practically at the start of every new map.

not sure where you got the cant save it from ?????

I started at Spellforce Order of the Dawn then done Breath and Winter and now Order of the Phoenix which i am about 3/4 of the way through.

Will start Spellforce 2 after that with the 1st expansion then buy the new game which i think is an expansion but stand alone like the post above

I think that the company taking over is looking to create spellforce 3 or that's the rumors i have read anyway.

Its a good game but i warn you now i am nearly 150 hours in on SP1 playing on hard and its tough going :)
 
Ah right ok, not played SP2 for a very long time.

Let me know how you get on :)

Some maps will anoy **** out of you and dont start on Hard your get your arse handed to you on a plate :D
