Argh!!

I seriously hate having spiders in my bedroom, it makes me really paranoid about sleeping in my bed!

I know lots of people have this phobia, but, its really annoying me, as i've currently just re-done my bedroom, so i've seen every nook and cranny, and i have NO IDEA where they are coming from, i've killed 2 small, fat scatty (fast moving) ones in as many nights, and i literally am lost as to where they came from!

One of them fell on my bed in my attempt to kill it, couldnt stop looking for it until i got the bugger!

Which needless to say, i did :)

Yes, im big and tough...

Anyways, please someone tell me what i can do... maybe call out the army, MI5, Tony Blair (i hear he's less busy these days) anything, pleaseeeeee! :(

I've built up an immunity to spiders living in a farm house for 3 hours :p

Although if they crawl on me I have to get it off ASAP :p

We get the big chunky armoured ones and the ones with really long legs here

best thing to do is realise that you will not get rid of them and where you find one you can guarentee there will be atleast 1 more.

I like that idea, i've killed two recently... so maybe, just maybe, i've murdered the last of the family tonight *prays to god* :D

Otherwise, i will continue this spider genocide. :)

You wouldn't like my desk then, I have a little jumping spider taken up permanent residence on it. It comes out to say hello every so often. :D

Woman, I don't bother with them and they dont bother me, they just hang around in my room for some dinner, my room is warm with the PC and 360 being on.

One thing i hate is moths, they are pointless and fly about like spacks and they are huge nowaday.

Don't get me started on them too, had a huge albino-esque one fly into me the other night, thank god it flew out the window

Spider proofing is needed: i.e. sealing up every little gap in the window frames and skirting boards, basically any place an insect may enter. Try not to open windows to often as that’s how quite a few get in I believe. Also going minimalist helps a lot as they then have nowhere to hide. At least then you ensure that anything that gets in will not get out.

^
Im a bit weird I know

Don't do anything, they'll harmlessly crawl in to your mouth, nose and ears while you sleep and make a nice little home :)

Surely the cats crapping in your garden scare them off?

I've killed around 1500 wasps in the past 2 weeks and countless countless ants, a few spiders will be a mere check on my insect killing record :D

I didn't mean it little spidery friend :(

Yeah why did they get so big all of a sudden? Speaking of which, one randomly appeared in my room and started nutting my light when I was reading this thread. My cat is on a mission.

My flatmate discovered we had mice last night, much to my amusement! She was literally standing on a chair in the kitchen at 4am in near hysterics for a good hour. It was hilarious. :D

Isn't there some statistic that says we swallow about 11 spiders a year when sleeping or something?

Oh, and you know sometimes when you wake up with a slight itch in your backside? Yep . . . Spider!
