Hi
I am looking for a new hard drive for data backup. This will mainly be written to on a monthly basis to back up about 3TB at a time, which will include images and flat files. (does anyone still use the term flat files these days)? Anyway, I am looking at WD and stuck between the Red and the Black Caviars. Ideally I think we all want fast read and write times, especially when we rebuild or restore files but is the extra cost worth going from 5400 rpm to 7200 rpm?
