Need some troubleshooting help in Windows 10!
I mistakenly enabled 3D Display mode in my Display Settings. Screen went immediately dark and was unable to disable this mode.
There was a Windows update queued so I did a hard reboot.
After booting on my screen all I see is a spinning circle icon (rotating circle made up of 5 smaller white dots).
Nothing happens. I am stuck and client work to do.
Any help appreciated!

OP
Tried unsuccessfully to boot into Safe mode ( F 8?)
I AM able to boot into BIOS F2.
Didn’t change anything, exited and saw the Windows blue icon for a few seconds, then the spinning circles…again!
Will try again to get into Safe mode. argh!
I assume 10 minutes is enough time to wait watching the spinning circle?
Any suggestions appreciated!

OP Just wondering if this is possibly a disk space issue. Perhaps Windows is attempting the update but running out of hard drive space and stuck in an endless loop?
I think I need to create bootable external media on a USB stick to further troubleshoot. Been several years since I attempted this. Can anyone share links with step by step instructions to do this?

F8 doesn't work nowadays for safe mode
Maybe windows 8
Was last time it did dont really remember
It's been that long
And asus boards use f8 or boot menu options now

Turn it on
Power it off by holding power button
Until it's off
Repeat this 3 or 4 times it should force
It to boot into recovery options

Yeah thanks discovered that!
Managed to do a clean re-install of Windows 10 using external USB but now after the re-install expereincing 2 different issues.

1- constant 3 note disconnection beep
2- I can only boot into my desktop after entering BIOS first and manually selecting my boot drive. The next time I boot (skipping BIOS) I just get whirring fans and a black screen.

Just wondering if possibly these 2 issues are related.

Is the system not remembering the boot order?

How old is the motherboard? could it be that the cmos battery needs replacing?

As ed209 said
If the motherboard is an older model
May need a new bios battery

Can also try
Set bios to optimised default
Or clear cmos
