Spinpoint Not Detected

Hey chaps, need a little help..

Installed my OS onto my SSD and alls good in the hood.

Tried to install my Sammy F3 for storage today, but it's not being detected by windows?

It shows up on the bios startup screen, but not in windows?

Any help is appreciated chaps

EDIT: Just read that i will probably have to format and partition the drive? is this correct?

Yes you will need to initialize and format the drive from within Disk management first before you can use it.

Ah ok, sorry can't help then. If it was an 800 Chipset AM3 board I could have possibly helped recity it. Hope you find an answer soon.

What options do you get when you right click on Disk 1?

New simple volume
Properties
Help

EDIT: if i click the disk 1 icon i also get

Convert to dynamic disk
Convert to GPT disk
