My advice would be to steer clear of rotisserie and just get a good water smoker instead. Spit-roasting is actually quite high maintenance, wastes a lot of fuel and isn't very flexible. A water smoker would allow you to smoke massive joints of meat with less effort and you could use it for about a billion different things.
I've used the ProQ Excel and it's really awesome. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.
