I get splinters all the time at work, metal ones in the finger tip are definitely the worst followed closely by ones going down the finger tip under the finger nail.

Ooo under the nail ones hurt, had a couple of big ones that have gone halfway up the nail, makes you sweat pulling those out!

Wire wool gives you loads of tiny wire splinters in the end of your fingers, they don't hurt but are very annoying as you can't see them!

A tiny piece of grit that got forced into my cheek when I fell off a wall at age 5. This has resulted in a dimple that only shows when I smile. My parents decided against having it removed as it would have resulted in a large scar running down my cheek.

Had a tiny spelk in my middle finger awhile ago. Well i think it was one. Didn't have tweezers so coudln't get it out. Cba going to docs to get it out. So it just grew skin over it and cant see it or feel it.

Must either been very clean when it went in or just lucky its not gone green or owt lol.

I once left a bottle on the sofa, forgot about it and went to sit down... The doctor didn't believe me when I told him that story.

On a serious note I've accidentally a rake in the past. Well a couple of prongs in my foot...
I've also had a nail go in my foot on a beach once... What can I say, I was an accident prone child... I think I must have got close to getting my own head stitched up loyalty card at one point...
