Is there a way of 'safely' carving up and existing windows xp partition? I know nothing can be truly guaranteed to be safe but there must be something that's close
Fastest way is to turn off the swap file, defrag and image the partition (ghost or similar free app) partition and image back.
or defrag and use partition wizzard but depending on what it's got to move it could take a few hours (hence the prior defrag to try to shuffle up the data)
