Hi,

Some of my ShadowPlay file sizes are too big to be transfered, e.g. to my memory stick. What methods are there for breaking them down into smaller files?

Ta. :)

Keys?

I'm using Windows 7 (need to change my signature), so isn't that NTFS?

I hadn't thought of 7zip; cheers, I'll check it out. :)

By keys he means USB stick / usb key..

Thanks. Yes, I did wonder if that is what it means.

If it's formatted as FAT32, then it won't allow filesizes over 4GB. You didn't answer his question, how big are these files?

Most of the ones I wanted to transfer are 4gb or under, so they are no problem, but there are about 7 or 8 files which range from 5-6gb to around 35gb.

Do you need them as a RAW files, what format are they?

A vast majority of them are in MP4 format. I suppose it would be better, though not imperative, if they were left as is.

Can you shrink them down with handbrake to MP4/MKV files? Or do you want them as they are.

I haven't tried splitting any of the files just yet. I'm sure it's not a particularly difficult exercise, though I don't believe I've ever done it before.

Also, I think you can set a split size on ShadowPlay, so might be a good idea to do that for future? Only problem with that I suppose is re-joining which is more difficult with a video file compared to a zip.

Yeah, I did have it set up to automatically keep the files below the 4gb threshold, but thought it made more sense to keep the recording as one larger file. Now I know it's not always the best way. :)
